Scandinavian grinders with Kampot pepper (50g) and sea salt (120g) in a gift box

This large cardboard box is a portal into a world of unknown flavours of the best that can only be found here. On one side stands a pepper that is not for nothing called the champagne of peppers. Its quality makes it the best pepper in the world and it will perfectly enhance any dish. On the other is hand-picked salt from the sea salinas, the only thing behind its creation is the power of the sun.

However, pepper and salt cannot do without grinders. In this set you will find two 17 cm high natural solid wood grinders with superior grinding mechanisms, on which you can easily adjust the coarseness of the grind. This makes it easy to tap into all the flavours and aromas that are hidden in the peppercorns and salt crystals.

The shape of the grinders has been designed to fit your hands perfectly and be easy to use. The colours, on the other hand, were chosen to make it as easy as possible to recognise the contents of the grinder, i.e. black for the pepper grinder and a light natural colour for the salt grinder. However, there are no limits to the imagination and you can complement this colour scheme with other coloured grinders from our range.

Materials

Both grinders are made of natural ash wood with a unique pattern, which has been given a special finish. This guarantees the lasting beauty of the mill, but also its durability, which will make it last for ages.

We have placed the grinders together with the pepper in a special cardboard box made from recycled materials. The lid of the box can be engraved to give the set a completely distinctive style. The choice of material is not random. Not only is it nice to look at, but the box can also be easily recycled or upcycled.

The grinding mechanism

At the heart of the grinders is the ceramic CrushGrind® grinding mechanism, which can grind peppercorns or salt evenly in 14 degrees of coarseness. The entire patented mechanism is backed by a 25-year warranty, giving you peace of mind that this grinder is built to last.

How to operate and maintain the grinder?
By adjusting the grinding coarseness of the pepper, you influence its flavour profile. The smaller the fragments, the sharper the pepper will taste. Conversely, larger fragments will impart more of the specific exotic notes of Kampot pepper to the dish.

Never use your bare hands when filling the grinder, but transfer the loose peppercorns into the chamber straight from the packaging, and use a spoon or funnel to help you. At the same time, don't forget to clean your grinder regularly. However, never use water or chemicals. Just a cloth, a brush and a drop of olive oil. Always keep the grinder away from the sink and be careful when operating it over steam.

The award-winning pepper

This set includes 50 grams of black pepper, which when ground releases notes of eucalyptus, camphor and thyme, accompanied by the scent of lime zest. These gradually meld into a coastal aroma with developing fruity notes. Aromas of peach and nectarine dominate, accompanied by aromas of pine and earthy notes of Cambodian mountain soil full of minerals.

Salt hand-picked in salinas

You will also receive 120g of coarse sea salt from the heart of Kampot province with your kit. It achieves its exceptional qualities thanks to gentle and organic processing that has remained unchanged for centuries - the only things farmers use to produce this salt are pure sea water, sun and wind. Thanks to Kampot's unique microclimatic conditions, this sea salt is enriched with more than 70 minerals and trace elements, which, thanks to its natural nature, are easily absorbed into food and also have a beneficial effect on the human body.

High-quality, unrefined sea salt has a higher nutritional value and enhances the taste characteristics of the ingredients used in the dish. It is suitable for everyday cooking; for salting, as a garnish on baked goods, for pickling or preserving meat, fish, vegetables, in marinades, on steaks, or for the less typical baking in a salt crust or, conversely, the very typical grilling.
